Of Straw Mushrooms, Skipping Ropes and Tests

when i was just a little kid, i used to love eating straw mushrooms. to me, they were really tasty and all that. then as i grew up a little bigger, say around 5 years of age, i noticed a similarity between the straw mushrooms and my younger brother's *ahem* ;) when you're below ten and have a sibling of around the same age, taking baths together are fun. but i digress... since my discovery, everytime i see or eat straw mushrooms, i can't help but giggle to myself as i remember why i secretly (not so secretly anymore though, since i find this amusing) called straw mushrooms "Ku ku chiao mushroom".

when i first shared this with nick... you can imagine how much he laughed... so, let me explain why i named it such a "perverted" nickname. look at it's shape, the was the bell sits so nicely on top of it's stalk. lets just say you're a boy. look into your pants. see the similarity? now that i'm much older and much wiser, i know that the "ku-ku chiao" has something called a foreskin... *perverted giggle* look at the first picture of straw mushrooms. cut off the outer layer (think circumcision) and look left... *perverted giggle again* hehe!

skipped rope today to challenge my younger brother since he thinks he's better than me in everything but biology and chemistry (he's 10). the little menace said he "Can skip 40 times non-stop! can you? bet you caaan't!!!". my bruised ego didn't allow that challenge to go by unnoticed. so i skipped. after 40, some little blighter was counting very quietly. by 60, he gave me a sheepish smile... by 65, i was rolling on the ground laughing at him cos he was grinning very apologetically. so yeah, i continued for a while just to make it an even 100. then!!! cheng cheng cheng!!! *cue climatic music* mum hollers in the kitchen that she needs my help. guess what she wanted me to do?! hehe! disect straw mushrooms!!!! *rofl*

i giggled as i cut them in half... yes boys, i like cutting them up.... hahah! and those that knew me well enough since 1st year will remember how i burst upon the engineering guys grinning like a fool after i inverted the testicles of a lab rat we had to disect. after telling them, the simultaneous looks of pain on all the guys was priceless!!! :)

ah yes, those who have take undang, i'm taking mine tomorrow, and no, i'm not the oldest applicant (thank God!). i read through the 500 question book and i'm just going to take it easy... i think :P well, i'll be sleeping early so that i can get up in time. toodles people and wish me the bestest!!!
