Upgrades!!!
I hope this doesn't happen to me!
Dear IT Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower, gifts and jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.
In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as Formula One 5.0, NBA 3.0 and World Cup 2.0.
And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.
What can I do?
Signed,
Desperate Housewife

Dear Desperate Housewife,
First keep in mind:
Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.
Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.
If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.
But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Teh Tarik 6.1.
Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav files.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.
You might consider additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Tasty Food 3.0 and Tongkat Ali 6.9.
Good Luck,
IT Support

This post is in response to a comment left by one of my readers. The reason why I brought up this issue isn't regarding forgive or not forgiven. This is something altogether different. If I dislike HL for some reason, the reason is mine and mine alone. My blog is not meant to be a "bashing up other people" behind their backs thing. I just wanted to warn the other students that are going to the ball that their tables have been shuffled around. It's in a way, a warning to HL that there will be more trouble when the night of the ball itself arrives. Please don't ask me to "relax" or "chill". I'm a consumer and I have my rights to get what I paid for. HL chose this project over the motor show. She may have come up with things that the previous ball crew have never thought of before, but the previous ball crews never mucked up like this. From what I remember, people that came late, regardless of whether they pay more or not, sat at the sides.
HL may have to do all this by herself, but I'm sure if she had asked for help from the council, they would have helped her willingly. I already know that she was given a scolding on Saturday over the accounts for the ball. You think she may be the best activities chairperson ever, but I happen to feel otherwise. I feel that she's just average in her abilities, but that's just me… other than that, how can you say that this is the most grand you've seen? The ball isn't till Friday! Anyhow, I am eager to see how it turns out. If it's good, then good for her. This ball is going to be crucial for her presidential running.
I wish her all the luck. She really needs it!

PEOPLE GOING TO THE MONASH BALL! IMPORTANT NEWS!!!
Hey people, as you all know, the ball is this coming Friday. I find it crucial that I inform all my readers on the sudden changes to the table layout. I find it very disturbing that the ball committee for this semester's Monash Ball is so unorganised and irresponsible!
For those that have booked a table for the ball, please go the ball committee and double check with them the position of their tables. There has been a shuffle, and yes, none of us were informed. I was pretty mad on Friday and giving the activities chairperson a good talking to when I found out my tables had been shuffled and I wasn't even informed that there was a change.
Apparently, those that booked the early bird tickets, may have been moved from their original position in the hall. The move is to accommodate the late comers who paid RM95 to our RM85. But I say, SCREW YOU LA for you being so late! I had a freaking stressful time collecting money before the due date for the early bird tickets weh! You, HL, you should know better than to do something like that. It's too underhanded and did you even think that aside from contending with me, you have to deal with the 10++ tables that you reallocated to different spots in the hall?
And she promises us it'll be "The best Monash Ball EVER"
BAH!

A FREAKING DOG HUNT?!??!?
I am thoroughly disgusted… what is our world turning into. We're supposed to civilised right? Well, apparently, the Selayang municipal council members are not. You know why? they authorised a dog hunt competition! What the fuck?! These are living animals that need to be neutered and spayed to properly curb the stray dog situation! It isn't their fault for being strays is it?! It's the irresponsible owners that left them on the street. Imagine if you were the poor things.. you were once loved and pampered, then suddenly, you're tossed onto the street because you're not cute and small anymore, or your owner didn't realise that it takes a lot of responsibility to look after you. It's not the dog that is to blame. Even if you want to remove the strays, I can give you a lot of ideas what to do with the prize money you're offering! Pay SPCA and PAWS to catch the dogs and house them! Let them euthanize them if need! What is wrong with your thinking and mentality?!?!
For a more humane approach to dealing with this problem, go here to petition against this atrocious contest!

"Eligible" Bachelors of Monash, Part 4?
Darren NPY a.k.a Walrus, Ah-Pek, Panda
This overly friendly, bouncy, crazy, chubby, rosy cheeked, loud, insane, and completely mad fellow is newly single. this is the guy that pranks you if you fall asleep during bus rides or during any trips for the matter... hahah! the picture you see to your right is a flattering pic of a guy trying to look cool in sunglasses. in reality... he's really just a bubbly guy with more than meets the eye...
so, what's the sordid story behind our beloved Darren? he tells us all sorts of things without holding back... when i say everything, i mean EVERYTHING! :P he is a helpful guy that is willing to sit down and talk to his friends and assist them when they are having problems. Darren is also the guy who makes the most noise and makes the room cheery with his insane and at times, pretty lame jokes.
just looking at him, one would never think that he was born in '87. hanging around us old people must have made him look old too! :P Darren is one of a kind, he sweats alot and bounces about all too much. it amazes me how he stays so chubby with all the running around he does!
so yeah, what's the big deal over darren? he's one of the few guys that i know that has dated all three of the main races in malaysia! he loves all girls... he's very hamsap and he tries to make everyone else seem as hamsap as him. he loves to play pranks and was an avid scout back in high school. so girls, if you want someone who's crazy, sweaty and hamsap... Darrren is your choice!
Jason Chan a.k.a "The Little Boy", C&S officer
this boy ah... hahah! he can sleep anywhere and anytime! this here speciman of a male is an adorable and acts as child-like as he looks. our beloved Jason is the brunt of so many pranks and jokes that i wonder that he hasn't retaliated and tried to kill us yet! as you can see in the picture above, we managed to put sand, powder and counterpain on him. the smiley on his back is courtesy of the pine needles that i stuck on after spraying his back with insect repellent! :P
anyway, jason is really a child when he has no worries. during our turtle trip, he was the most excited playing with the bioluminant crustaceans and playing in the sand. courtesy of his enthusiasm in mimicking a turtle, he had sand embedded under his finger nails... sigh! that boy ar! but he's a sweet enough little guy (i feel like he's such a little boy!) he constantly gets bullied by the boys due to his rather docile character, but oh wow! look out when Jason means business...
for the girl that would like a child-like and sweet guy (though definitely NOT innocent) jason may seem ideal. though he comes with a warning label! his sweet exterior may not mean a sweet interior! be warned! and he has a rather close relationship with patrick from spongebob! :O
ps... for those that read this post earlier, i have edited on the request of certain people. sorry Darren, for the inconvenience. didn't realise that they're making such a big hoo haa over it! :S (after all, it is my blog...)

Happy Belated Birthday Malaysia…
I just read a bulletin on Friendster. It kind of gave me a little shock at it's contents. Especially since we just celebrated our nation's 50th birthday. Here, let me paste it for you:
Dato' Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak the deputy prime minister of Malaysia had been invited to officiate the opening of Monash University Malaysia new campus. Monash Malaysia being made up of a multi-cultural society can, not only be seen in its international and local students but as well as teaching and admin staffs.
By inviting a racist that threatened to drench the keris (a type of dagger) in Chinese blood clearly contradicts the values Monash uphold in being a international university.
Najib, doing so for political gains or for whatever reasons clearly shows that he's unfit to be a leader. Other issues such as corruption regarding purchases of fighter lanes, tanks, submarines and as well as the recent murder case of Altantuya are alleged to have been cover-up by the government. Being a former educational minister that supported the university and uni colleges act as well as the 'aku- janji' contract to silent critics and activism had crippled the Malaysian education system of allowing students to think for themselves.
The product of our Malaysian education can be seen even in our own campus where students don't question and just follow. Participation in events tend to be sadly low. Local graduates end up not being able to find jobs because they are exposed to the real world where things are different. Who are we to blame? Ourselves? The government? The university/school... etc?
By associating ourselves with Najib clearly shows the path we are taking, and not only us but the future generation of Monash students as well. So ask and think about it, is Najib worthy of officiating our new campus? Is it because he's the only available VIP? or because Monash filled his pocket with money? "The best ideas comes from the worse minds"
Now, people, don't get me wrong. I love my country a lot. It's just that reading about this make me wonder, you know? If a Chinese politician were stupid enough to have said something like this he'd have been tossed into ISA a long time ago. Other than that, Najib has said some pretty dumb things in the past. However, all this was said so long ago (1989) and really, the past is the past. If he were to say something like this now, in the wake of Namawee's song, all hell may pretty much break loose.
The truth, and sadly so, is that Malaysian Chinese are getting sick of being screwed over. I will be the first to admit that I would most likely migrate to some other country where everyone has an equal chance in achieving their goals and dreams. I'm not disillusioned that the grass is greener on the other side. I know that no matter where we go, race is what segregates us not matter how "civilised" and "modern" a country may be. The American dream is just a dream, but it can come true in so many countries around the world. In Malaysia however, I don't think I can ever see it truly happening.
It breaks my heart to see so many of our brightest and most talented people go overseas because Malaysia has nothing to offer them. Doesn't the government wonder why when you interview fresh grads, the first thing they say is "I think Singapore is where the jobs are!". The competition there is very tight and the jobs are few, but then why do our grads fight to work in Singapore? I'm in the biotechnology field and for years, I have been waiting with an abated breath for the BioValley to begin showing up on the map. Sadly, the times I've been to Putrajaya, I haven't even seen a peep. So, either it's a really hush-hush project, or I'm blind, or it isn't happening. Due to this, as much as I want to finish my degree, I can't help but feel a bit worried as to where I'll find work.
One of my dear friends in uni, a Malay guy, was telling us how he wanted to open a eatery near the uni so students can eat. It would earn a lot of money as the students really are getting annoyed at the uni cafeteria. Then we all began to discuss how wonderful it would be. One of us mentioned that the Sunway area was delegated to be a industrial area and that he wouldn't be able to build a shop there. He laughed and told us that if he really wanted to, he could, and it would be legit. To that, we laughed and answered "Malaysia Boleh!". The next few words that made me stop laughing was the stark realisation that even the Malays realised the "unfair" treatment of other races. This is what my friend said, "What do you mean by 'Malaysia Boleh!'? it's Melayu Boleh!"
Just a little something for all of you to ponder on in event of our nation's birthday. And again, I insist. I love my nation to bits. I love the people, the food and the climate (though sometimes I wish I could shoot the sun out) and I love living here. Don't go thinking I'm a racist, I love all my friends, Malay, Chinese, Indian, ethnic groups, so please, don't take this post the wrong way.
